Instagram without a Facebook Page
Uses Meta’s Instagram Login (Business Login for Instagram). Professional account required. Personal profiles still cannot connect.
01Switch Instagram to Professional
In Instagram: Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account → Business or Creator.
02Connect with Instagram Login in Rowe
Open Channels → Instagram → choose Connect with Instagram (standalone). Sign in with the Professional account and approve permissions.
03Know the tradeoffs
- No Facebook Page required — faster if you only care about Instagram.
- Reel music attach via API is more reliable on the Facebook Login + Page path.
- In Development mode, Meta may require your IG as an Instagram Tester on the app — accept the invite in Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites.
Prefer the standard path?
Agencies and multi-brand setups usually use Page + Facebook Login.
